The Nigerian government has condemned the murder of its diplomat in Sudan, and is working to unravel the perpetrators behind it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Friday that it had received an official report from its Mission in Khartoum, Sudan “on the death of Immigration Attaché 1 in the Mission, Habibu Almu, who was killed in his official quarters on Thursday, 10th May, 2018.”
It added: “This indeed is sad news. The untimely death of the officer is certainly a great loss to our country.
“The federal government sympathizes with the family of the deceased on this unfortunate incident.”
“Meanwhile, the mission is working very closely with host authorities in their investigations and will do everything possible to ensure those behind the dastardly act face this dastardly act are made to face the full wrath of the law, “the statement concluded.
